I'm sure most of you didn't notice, but I've been out a couple of days.
Spent 2 1/2 days in the Hospital with a medical scare. Still a bit weak, but strong enough to watch the Mariners game.
Basically they thought I had a stroke ( ) but it ended up being a "mini-stroke" sort of like the TIA variety. Anyway, a few torturous minutes in the MRI torture chamber told them there is no significant dain bramage.
So y'all stuck with me for a while yet. 💪
On 8-10:
On my way to full recovery. Even drove to breakfast with fam this morning. No real problems other than a little fatigue.
Thanks for all of your support! Means a lot.

(62,757 posts)They messed with my prescription list, which I will have to coordinate with my PCP at the VA. Have a phone appt with my pharmacist Monday so will get a chance to discuss things then. I've had some indicators and symptoms for a while now and I have discussed those minor problems with them before.
This all happened at a local hospital and involved the state Medicaid based health system, so I guess I'm in with them now, though my primary will remain the VA. Received a bill from the hospital and their pharmacy that was suprisingly low and 'affordable,' so somebody else is paying for much of it. I know VA will pay for emergency room visits, but that doesn't include the 2 nights in the hospital.
Some paperwork and phone calls in my immediate future.

(62,757 posts)The usual recs about diet and activity, etc. I don't smoke or drink, so that's not a problem.
They want follow-ups, but I have to coordinate all this with my VA medical team, too.
