I cranked up the Doobie Brothers this morning

On my CD Player and, sure enough all was right with the World. At least for a time. Michael McDonald told me what a Fool Believes. For the thousandth time. We dabbled in Real Love, took it to the Streets and Listened to the Music. How Come I keep forgetting we’re not in Love Anymore? Be Here to Love You. I Gotta Try. Sure Enough all was right with the world as a tear made its way down my 71 year old face.

Too many happy, carefree memories associated with that music. My tastes have tended toward heavy, angst-ridden dirges that I play to drown out the voices in my head redirect my thoughts.
