Something to consider for New Year's Resolutions

I have the same two important New Year's Resolution every single new year.

1. Avoid toxic people

2. Avoid MAGA

These two are not always the one and the same.

I'm going to add this one to my list as well.

The word police around here especially irritate me. I believe they inhibit people with valid comments from posting.

If you correct someone about a typo, they may never post again.

If you are derisive about something they are passionate about, they may never post again.

They obviously weren't taught any manners. I believe it's also a way for them to feel superior over other people.

I agree. It also hinders discussions here on DU.

Now if I see an important mistake, I'll PM the other person and gently let them know because I was brought up with tact and manners.

Please know that we're all not like that, Wifes husband.

I'd say sorry about that, but as a toxic jerk, I cannot go there!

Myself included.
