Good morning my DU family,

The act of volunteering started for most of us in kindergarten or grade school, as our desire to help lead us to raise our hands freely and often when someone asked something of us.

This is a thank you to each of us that has done willingly for free, a thing or task that helps another, whether helping or donating to a food bank, working as an elections official in some capacity, whether reading someone their letters from loved ones at a nursing home, to fostering animals, or helping that person that we drive by so often barely noticing.

Thank you for acting, especially when it'd be far easier not to. Thank you for caring, for feeling, and for choosing.

Please give us a day filled with opportunities to help and to act accordingly.
