My teenage daughter moved out with me when I got divorced. We moved into a small townhouse with the two dogs my daughter wanted and my ex didn’t. Somehow my daughter got word that my ex had gotten rid of one of her cats because the cat was not using the litter box. We went to the local humane society shelter and found Savannah. A person at the shelter told us that my ex told them that she found the cat wandering the neighborhood, not that she owned the cat and wanted to be rid of it because it wasn’t using the litter box. The person at the shelter thanked us for telling him the real story so they wouldn’t keep adopting Savannah out and getting her back because she wouldn’t use a litter box. Sadly, my daughter and I decided that we just couldn’t take a cat on top of two dogs in our small townhouse. A sad mess - I hope Savannah found again good home somehow.
