Graiglist crooks

friend called to tell me about some architectural items that had been stolen in the last week from his building. I went on Graiglist and spotted them right away. Cops came out and took a report with 6 photos they posted. That was yesterday and today the ad was pulled.

I check ebay after every theft from my antique mall booth, but I haven't nailed anyone yet. I WANT MY BIRD-EATING SPIDER SPECIMEN BACK!

the pictures they posted were from inside the building.

I try to be careful when buying from someone I don't know. Sometimes I'll ask for a drivers license. A few times they walked away when I asked that. Back in the 90s a guy came in my store and wanted to sell an art glass Tiffany bud vase in a bronze stand. Said he wanted $40. I turned it down as he seemed not the kind of person that would have that and the deal was too good. You talk about a hard deal to turn down, but I don't need money that bad. When I had my store, I caught 4 different people stealing stuff. Every one of them was a dealer.

Hope you find your spider.
