Got paintings/drawings of pets? Post 'em here!

In another thread, https://www.democraticunderground.com/102815165 , Cat Artist LiberalLoner posted a nicely-done acrylic painting of a cat about to wreak havoc on something, and a discussion of pet painting with more examples ensued. It looks like many of us have painted cats and dogs (and maybe a lizard or two), a challenging purrsuit, so let's see some more. I'll show you mine if you show me yours!

Here's a small painting I made for someone who was mourning her beloved cat. femmedem Feb 2024 #1

You captured the cat's thoughtful expression, and I love the way you handled the light.

It meant a lot to her. She has a congenital disability that makes it hard for her to leave the house many days, and her cat was a great comfort to her.

A little over a year later, she just adopted two littermates who are bringing her joy.

This is Jeoffry, who passed away suddenly during the awful summer of 2020:

Milo, whom I lost only a month after Jeoffry:

Pixie, who's sleeping on the couch near me right now:

A friend's dog, who also passed away shortly after I finished this - I gave the painting to them.

So now, how about yours?

I remember being blown away by the cat portraits when I first saw them, and they're every bit as beautiful as I remembered.
I don't recall seeing the dog portrait before, but I'm sure it means the world to your friend.
