Any art-related NY resolutions?

I signed up for Emily Olson's watercolor masterclass. And I'm going to try to do a sketch a day. And maybe this is the year I learn how to draw/paint human figures and faces. Maybe.

And you?

To explain… I’ve gotten into a rhythm working on my new novel, and jumping off onto the board with a pastel drawing or drawing when I get stuck… then back to the book. Rinse repeat.
Wishing all of my artist friends and happy and inspired New Year!
Thanks Mark!

I tend to get the art equivalent of writer's block and I find it really hard to get started. Once I get going I can get something done but I spend too much thinking about what I want to do instead of doing it.

Whenever I think of things to paint, I make a "to do" list. Then when I'm drawing a blank, I refer to my list and make myself paint something on it.
