But, Rick wrote it, was in the band, and was the principal producer.
Three years later, Rick re-recorded it for his own solo album.
I'm very partial to Rick's version. I like his guitar work better, though I can't say that I like one vocal better than the other. They both sing it great.
In between, it shows up on the White Trash album with Rick, Johnny and Edgar.

I know that album and all his others by heart. I used to own all the vinyl, though they were lost in a move. He and his wife invited my friend and me into his hotel room just before he played a show that we went to in the Shaboo Inn right next door and he signed all our albums for us. We were in 8th grade at the time.

One thing I always thought was funny was the cover art showing Rick playing guitar with gloves on. As if!
We saw him as guitarist/musical director for Cyndi Lauper on her True Colors tour.
