Those first two albums were incredible. As I read up, Corgan played much of the instruments on Gosh but not all of it as I had understood. Butch Vig produced then went on to Nevermind - at least it was released 4 months later.


Siamese Dream, as a sophomore effort, is in the top 10 I’d think.
I love that song. I thought Corgan was a complete nut (he had a messed up childhood) but at least seems to have tried to clean up that image.

Ala Hendrix and Dave Grohl (neither actually had a band at the time). That’s just what I heard or remembered.

Yes everything but drums. Apparently he did play or re-recorded a lot of Iha’s guitar and Wretzky’s bass. I just read last night that added a lot of tension as you’d imagine.
