Bryan Ferry was the first choice, and even though Bryan thought the tune was great, passed because it wouldn't fit with the album he was recording at the time.
Christie Hynde told Jim they really needed to record this song & the rest is history.
We covered this tine for quite a while.
In fact, it was the 2nd song on the list the first gig we ever did.

I couldn't watch the whole video. I'll search it on my TV system later.
I got a kick out of the way this song was used in Pitch Perfect. Especially st the end in the contest final.
