Soo Catwoman, a prominent figure in the British punk rock and fashion scene, died on Sept. 30 after a sudden illness. She was 70.
Born Susan Lucas, she became known as Soo Catwoman and was a fixture in the punk scene, often photographed with bands like the Sex Pistols and the Damned, Parade noted. Her striking look reportedly influenced musicians such as Keith Flint of the Prodigy.
Her children, Shem and Dion Lucas, announced her death on a GoFundMe page created for her funeral expenses. They said she recently fell ill and was taken to hospital, and shortly after fell into a coma, which she sadly never awoke from. She died surrounded by her family.
