EVERY BILLBOARD #1 HIT (1960 - 1969) WITH VIDEO

This is a continuation of a project I began working on a few years ago. Think of it like an updated, higher-quality, more comprehensive edition. It is intended as being the most comprehensive video of every song that reached the #1 position on Billboard's charts. I went as far back as I could with Billboard's Best Sellers in Stores chart as my starting point, which began in 1940. Wikipedia is my source for these songs, so if Wiki starts with 1940, that's where I start.

I tried to find video footage where I could so people could get an idea of what these artists looked like. Fortunately as I get closer to modern day, footage is much more plentiful. Most of the footage for this video came from The Ed Sullivan Show which featured many contemporary artists performing their hits, and thankfully has an official YouTube channel with full performances uploaded. This was NOT the case a few years ago when I made the first edition of this project.

I'm dividing these videos into decades just because the final product may be a ways away and I guarantee it will be hours long. I'm uploading the videos as I complete them.

I couldn't help but laugh at Johnny Rivers singing "Poor Side of Town" while wearing a tuxedo.
