Big Mess - The Great CoVID Lockdown and Danny Elfman's return to rock music

Early in 2020, Danny Elfman found himself stuck in his Topanga Canyon home after the rest of the world shut down, including his planned concert schedule.

So ... Danny did what he had stopped doing over 30 years prior ; He composed rock music

With a cast of 15-20 classical musicians, including strings and vocal chorus, then adding some of the most impressive musicians in industrial metal, including Josh Freese and Robin Finck of NIN, his old Boingo band mate Steve Bartek, and guitar phenom Nili Brosh, he started writing and recording new rock songs

They poured out like water ... His producers had to tell him to stop .. He already had a double album's worth of songs by then

All the frustration of the pandemic, the lockdown and the Jan6 fiasco ... Gathered into one double album, Big Mess

It's an extraordinary journey ... Enjoy!
