Our next door neighbor had a big jacaranda tree. I loved those blooms. Whole tree explodes in purple. Absolutely Positively GLORIOUS!

All the reasons you give are the same reasons we have this tree!

Plus, I have mine just outside my study, ready for photos off my balcony any old time! I'm spoiled for sure!
