I tried twice to have one, knowing the odds were against me as I live in a desert. I tried because there are a couple mature ones around town.

Beautiful shots.

They are so beautiful but they are also picky about the climate they grow in. I'm sorry you didn't have any luck with them.

Lovely photographs. That is an ebullient flowering tree. How long does it flower in a season? Thanks for posting, now I know what a Jacaranda looks like.

They flower for a few months--3 or 4 maybe. Ours was late blooming this year; not sure why.

It gives me joy!

I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.

I love the bokeh in the first photo and the combination of sharp/soft focus in the second. The inclusion of the leaves gives context and additional color.

Such beauty makes me happy to be nearby. I'm lucky to have this magnificent tree right outside my door.

And what good is my happiness if I can't share it? Sharing is part of my DNA.

In many cultures, the Jacaranda tree is a symbol of beauty, resilience, and renewal. Its vibrant flowers are often associated with good fortune and prosperity. In Australia, the blooming of Jacarandas is a sign that the end of the school year is near, making them a symbol of hope and new beginnings for students.

Much more...

I am so lucky. My study is on the second floor, and there's a balcony there too. No ladders needed, thank goodness.

I am glad you enjoyed these.
