It was supposed to rain!

(13,675 posts)Is that sculpture a permanent installation?
Its beautiful.
CaliforniaPeggy
(154,767 posts)It IS permanent. Twice a year you can stand in the keyhole and look west at sunset, and the sun will be precisely lined up with it. I've never gotten to do that--someday!

(97,489 posts)Pastries! I would love one of those little tarts right about now.
Nice pictures, makes me miss the farmer's market already!
CaliforniaPeggy
(154,767 posts)I had fun taking them! Like I always do!
I know I would miss it if it suddenly disappeared. Our climate allows it to run year-round.

TY for sharing your trip to the market with us, Peggy. I love the last pic of the flower.
CaliforniaPeggy
(154,767 posts)You know how I am about sharing. I swear this is in my DNA.
That flower really intrigued me; I had to take its photo!

(38,003 posts)Is there usually a musician there or was this a first?
CaliforniaPeggy
(154,767 posts)I don't normally pay much attention, actually. But this guy was good and I was sitting down for a moment. And then, of course, the camera!
The flower's colors caught my eye. And the rest is history.

(6,432 posts)Your old standby lens is perfect for food and floral photos. The crisp details and vibrant colors are magnificent.
CaliforniaPeggy
(154,767 posts)Now, that lens is hardly old! I think I've had it about a year or so! And I love using it. It's really responsive.
Thank you for your very kind words.

(126,061 posts)cold, and about to be snowy, evening ! At first glance, that tomato reminded me of images of the Willendorf Venus, head bowed.
Note to self: MUST go to La Baguette in the morning for croissants and custard tarts!
