A few selected waterfalls (not all of them) from Silver Falls State Park near Salem, Oregon. This park has long been on my bucket list. It is well worth seeing. I hiked the eight-mile Canyon Trail, which includes the ten waterfalls on it. It took me about five-and-a-half hours to hike it, including time for pictures. My feet were extremely sore. My tracker said I had almost 29,000 steps from this.

(86,947 posts)is there a good stationery store in your area? Or a local printing place where you can get custom printing done (like your name on a set of Christmas cards)? Tell em what you want to do and theyll take it from there! OR, worst case scenario, if they cant do it, I bet theyd know who else would!
These photos of yours are WORTH IT, WORTH IT, WORTH IT!
And it may not be that expensive.
Your photos would make really nice color postcards, and then you dont have to deal with envelopes, and I think postcard stamps are cheaper (or they used to be!). I bet you could have a simple message added, on the other side, in small pretty lettering (in gold or contrasting color) saying Merry Christmas or Have a Beautiful Holiday! and then just write a quick note and add a stamp and the address, and its good to go!
One more thought: you might want to add photo by (your name) in very small letters along the bottom of the side where you write your message and addresses.
If you give them as gifts, just use all these photos as postcards and give sets of them to friends. Pack em together in appropriately-sized ziplock bags and maybe add a bow!
I bet your friends would LOVE em!!!

(86,947 posts)I made bookmarks with them, too. With a laminating machine. That also worked for coasters. Pretty, and unique, and big enough to accommodate larger cups and glasses. Nice way to preserve them!
You can do all kinds of stuff with them! Laminate them and then cut them out and they can be hung up (just make a little hole at the top where you can put a hanger). And you can make THAT by unbending a paper clip.

(12,518 posts)We had to leave early because skunks invaded our campsite and got into everything and we had our stuff in plastic tubs wth tight lids, they pushed down and broke it open destroyed a bunch of stuff.
We do plan to go back but are going to rent a cabin.

(330 posts)miles from my house. I never take for granted or stop feeling lucky and blessed to live here. I hike there often with my grandkids. There is also a nice area for swimming in Silver Creek and a wonderful place for a picnic. Your photos are wonderful and do the falls justice! It is beautiful in fall, winter and spring, too!
