A backyard still life, and time to go back in the house.

My tiger lilies all bloomed overnight! And I had just picked some lettuce out of the garden.

Sophie says I’m taking my ball and going back inside. It’s too hot and muggy out here for a Lab with thick fur.

How beautiful, lush and green your garden is! And I must agree with Sophie--it's too hot to be outside!

I love how you frame the first photo with the flowers on the left, and the watering can on the right. Just gorgeous.

Anything green and growing in my yard is because of 1) Mr. Diamond and 2) the over-the-top rainfall we had mid-May to mid-June. I had nothing to do with it! And the flowers and the watering can just looked ripe for a photo!

It was actually cooler today - only 90!

What IS that thing the watering can is on? Looks kinda like a piece of an old woodstove.
