Nine days ago LoisB commented on this photo.
"There is something majestic about the tall tree on the right
side of the photograph. For me it almost steals the show from the
magnificent sunset."
With thanks for Lois' keen observation, this week's posting focuses on
that tall tree, the "Majestree".
We begin with sunset, last night.
After nightfall, we resume early this morning, seeing the Majestree in daylight.
We turned toward the rising sun, two shadow casters
as Shadow dug for field mice in the pasture. (Note her dirty nose!)
Then we made our way back home. (No field mice were harmed this day.)
Addendum: When Laurie and I moved here last June and saw so many
trees on the horizon I wondered whether sun rises and sets might be
different from those at the old farm. LoisB replied to my first sunset
post "The sky is not as dramatic as the farm but I think we are
going to be just fine. The trees are fantastic."
She was right.

PS Thank you for the Shadow photograph.
