along highway 1, all along the coastal highway, there were all kinds of exits and turnoffs, where one could take their flyrod out, and just putter along, fishing at various spots that looked inviting. Maybe one day again, I'll go, but I don't know how mobbed it is now. But it's nice to daydream, eh?

Yes it is.. The fishing pier is called the "torpedo" pier for some odd reason.. The light was good so I thought it would make a nice foto..
