Related: About this forumnature is metal: boa constrictor vs green iguana edition
just a little while ago, I stepped outside of my house to see that my favorite green iguana (a beautiful, big male with a bright red head) had just fallen prey to a boa constrictor. I watched him take his last few labored breaths and then close his eyes. I don't know if the boa grabbed him while up in a tree and the two fell to the ground in a struggle, or if the boa was able to ambush him on the ground where I found them.

Truly, sad photos. This is how nature is: eat or be eaten. Thank you, dear Gato. ...n/t

My first thought was that you were in South Florida where we have both as exotic species.
At least I am glad you are seeing them where they belong.
I can't say that I have a favorite iguana since they all seem like foul ugly beasts to me. But I might feel differently if they were native here.
