....what gear are you using? what AF area mode are you using or are you manually focusing? how do you attempt to acquire focus?

also, can you post some good examples where you thought you were focused but when reviewing the image you saw that you were not in focus?

(which is clearly at least part of the problem). Sigh... Living at altitude in Colorado with nearly 365 days/year of intense sunny days (or reflection off snow), nearly every one & every thing that lives long enough will have cataracts.. But damn!
