New toy arrived!

Yes, that says 10mm. 15mm full-frame equivalent, 107˚ field of view. As wide as the Grand Canyon.

I would take it out for a walk right now, but my little weather station says it's 104.6˚…the problem with that heat is less my endurance and that the dew point tends to be so high than any gear I bring outside, even from my 78-degree apartment, immediately gets covered in condensation. Bad for image quality and worse for electronics.

But i do have a lot of ideas…

Do you mind saying how much? I've been thinking of getting a wide for my DX camera.

You'll have to show us some pics.

I paid ~$240 in New Minus condion, but Nikon still makes the lens for $300. Having recieved it and used it, either way is good–my lens arrived without the hood, which just about makes up for the cost of the new lens. It is utterly immaculate, so I don't feel that I lost out by not buying new.

There's a couple of good ones but something this wide takes thought and composition, offhand street shots aren't the best showcase…
