(5,409 posts)I actually really like ultrawide work, I just haven't ever had a chance to do it outside of my phone I have ideas and I'm excited!!

(35,591 posts)The signs are supposedly on timers. I would like to be close enough to a place with one (and a deli) to test that statement, but I haven't seen an electronic crosswalk sign in years.

(40,963 posts)... and they stop traffic in all directions so pedestrians can cross diagonally if they choose.
If the buttons are not pressed It's all straight-through traffic and left turn signals. The "don't walk" signs remain lit in all directions.
This is a deliberate means of discouraging cross-town traffic on Main Street when pedestrians are present.
