Composing with my 10-20mm isn't the easiest to begin with
but when I clocked that it has a 4-5 stop VR system that I can't disable, and my camera shoots well up to ISO6400, I decided to take it out for some night work. Why not add the difficulty of the light and contrast to the composition? Hard is fun! All shot at 10mm, f/4.5, ISO Auto.
Bus stop, nice that somebody biked there, but could you park it someplace more considerate?

Purely a compositional exercise on my part, but posted because I shot it at 1/4s. A quarter second. And it's still sharp enough to make an 8x10 if not a 16x20.

Fancy building entryway.

Loading dock (wide enough for 2 full trailers).

And the money shot; DC Metro canopies are lovely, they vaguely remind me of insect carapaces
and this shot is why I bought the lens. It's everything I imagined, but in my heart it's shot from a tripod for both perfect alignment and ISO100 exposure, then processed to look like Delta 100 (LOVE that film.)

And those are such great photos! This last photo is truly the money shot! I enjoyed them all.
