Friday's Shadow Tails * Her friend Freya stayed with us last weekend.

Freya was rescued by our neighbors. They think she is an Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler & Shepherd Mix. She's two years old.

Shadow met Freya a year ago when we walked past our new, then, neighbor's home.
The dogs hit it off right away.

Anytime they get together all they do is play. Like when Freya arrived for her sleepover.

The fun began. Shadow has six years on Freya, but the elder keeps going.

Every once in awhile they pawsed to catch their collective breath.

But not for long.

Eventually Freya started toward the barn. Shadow followed.

There, they raised Cain. And not a little dust.

They got dirty but had a great time getting so.

And both pups slept soundly through that night.

It's great that Shadow has such a special friend that she can have so much fun with. Looking at these lifted my spirits. I especially love the parallel tails in the third photo!
