Joan Marshall died June 28, 1992 (Munsters, Star Trek...)

Trivia

Was the mother character (then known as Phoebe Munster) in the test episode of The Munsters (1964) shown to network executives. However, she was subsequently replaced by Yvonne De Carlo when filming began for the first season, because network executives thought her character (now renamed Lily Munster) was too much like Morticia Addams, from The Addams Family (1964).

Trivia

This marks the only appearance of the female Starfleet dress uniform during The Original Series, worn by Lt. Areel Shaw (Joan Marshall). Key differences between this uniform and the standard female uniform are a satin-like sheen, a gold braid on the edge of the collar, and a longer skirt

I do not think Lily's attire was meant to suggest that.

I can not imagine Herman's wife being anyone other than Lily.
