Early election results favor Jordan and Jones in Fayetteville runoff

Washington County officials have released the early voting totals for the Dec. 3 general election, which include two Fayetteville municipal races.

In the mayoral race, Lioneld Jordan is leading with 53% of the vote, followed by Rawn with 47%. In total, Jordan has received 1,966 votes so far, and Rawn has 1,728 votes.

The runoff became necessary after both candidates fell short of the majority threshold in the Nov. 5 general election, where Jordan received 47% of the vote compared to Rawn’s 37%. Candidates Tom Terminella (12%) and Adam Fire Cat (4%) also sought the position.

In the Ward 4 City Council race, Monique Jones is leading with 68% of the vote, followed by Todd Hertzberg with 32%. Jones has received 460 votes to 221 for Hertzberg so far.
