DOVER, Ark. (KATV) A video posted on YouTube by Adventuras en Arkansas has captured a controversial incident involving ICE agents and U.S. Forest Service officers at the Long Pool Recreation Area.
The footage shows officers questioning and detaining visitors, with several individuals being placed in a van amid cries and screams from family and friends.
A person familiar with the incident told Channel 7 that the agents arrived following a littering complaint.
Immigration law attorney Nathan Bogart expressed surprise at the situation, saying, "Me personally, I have never encountered a situation where a littering complaint resulted in ICE responding."

(549 posts)Speaking as someone who spent his teen years in the state in the 1970s. The 1970s were pretty much an era of "live and let live", as the state was trying to extricate itself from the hillbilly/redneck image that had bogged the state since the days of Huck Finn, Hillbilly Hare, Little Rock Central High, the Wacky Races, Arkanstone, etc., etc., etc.
