Saline County committees to meet May 4; election worker stipends on agenda

The Saline County Public Works & Safety Committee and Finance Committee will meet Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Saline County Courthouse to discuss several items, including funding for election worker stipends.

The meetings are scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. in Courtroom #3 at the Saline County Courthouse in Benton.

During the Public Works & Safety Committee portion, members are expected to approve previous meeting minutes and consider a proclamation recognizing Arkansas Foster Care Month. Additional items may be added, along with other business brought before the committee.

The Finance Committee will also review minutes and consider an ordinance to appropriate funds received from the Arkansas State Board of Election Commissioners. The funds would provide supplemental stipends to certain election workers for 2026, including those who completed required training and testing.
