Related: About this forumAnyone else experiencing delays or "lost" deliveries from UPS?
Packages that are days late or routed to out-of-the-way destinations (like nearly across country) before they get to you?
I've had several, as have friends and family members.

(11,215 posts)Things were missing from every delivery last week, only to show up the next day. However, our bank statement was to be delivered Saturday, and still hasnt arrived.

(17,757 posts)But the USPS is a freaking mess when it comes to package delivery in the past year or so. I had a package, last week that came all the way across the country in three days, but it was misdelivered to a post office thirty miles from me where it sat for six days until the seller contacted the PO. The package was labeled correctly... I wouldn't whine about it, if it was the first, or second time in the last six months.
In my personal experience, the only people who seem to get great service from the PO, is Amazon. There packages are never late.

(32,509 posts)I do know the USPS contracts (or used to contract) with carriers like FedEx and Emery to carry their overnight and two-day deliveries (the USPS delivered packages through their own mail system though). Wonder if Amazon does the same.

(10,749 posts)I use all these services. Most of the time packages get where they need to be on the days projected. Some of the time they dont. It drives me nuts that its not as it should be 100% of the time, and Ive spent countless hours on the phone with customer service. I dont like it, but its a fact of life. When you think about it, its amazing that these complex systems work as well as they do.

(14,907 posts)The seller replaced the lamp right away.
But went back to buy the same lamp for my husbands office and
a $129.00 lamp I bought was now selling for $190.00..making up the loss..
I cant blame them.

(7,629 posts)200 mile trip. It was for a baby shower gift. Tracking the package I could see no movement once UPS picked it up. Amazon showed running late. Then running late your package may be lost. I have never had an issue until now. I must say once I contacted customer service they handled it well once a human got involved. The reorder is supposed to be here today.
