I was substitute teaching Friday for a 4th grade class and they were working on their Gold Rush research projects. Wish I had seen this before then!

from the time I student taught 4th graders for a few months. The state curriculum was pretty good. We took the kids on field trips to see Old Town, San Diego, including The Whaley House for the local history.
