In front of Cinderellas Castle at Walt Disney World, a bronze sculpture depicts the parks creator, Walt Disney, hand-in-hand with Mickey Mouse, his iconic creation. What most visitors dont notice, however, is a tiny insignia on Disneys tie incorporating the letters S, T and R.
The letters are a subtle nod to Disneys longtime membership in a community that is the closest thing in the real-estate world to a secret society. For years, Disney and his wife, Lillian Disney, were among the self-described colonists who spent the winter at Palm Springs Smoke Tree Ranch, one of the most exclusive private real-estate communities in the country.

though according to comedian Steve Martin, "the only problem money solves is the problem of not having money."
Still, I'd like to have a lot of money.

(3,096 posts)3. It looks abandoned in the satellite view.
These have to be third and fourth homes, there are no cars on the streets or in driveways.

(3,096 posts)5. Yes, I noticed this, too. And only two entrances, none to the south.
It doesn't look like a fun place to be, at all.
