They are rebranding legacy centurylink as quantum. Hopefully they run fiber to you, the fiber is decent service. The company is a little infamous for breaking their "guaranteed" pricing, if they promise a lifetime deal save those docs and some of the early bills.

I wanted to dump Comcast/Infinity. Had Comcast for many years. I dumped them because they're big contributors to the Republican party, and it seemed that every time I opened my bill they were charging me more money, even though all I had was a landline and high speed internet. I don't have a TV, and felt like I was getting ripped off.
Also, the internet service would really slow down during busy times.
Quantum Fiber installed a fiber optics cable, which is dedicated to my home, so internet service doesn't slow down during busy times.
They guaranteed me a rate of $50.00 per month, for life, as long as I stay with my original service. I gave up the land line because it would cost extra to have it.
So far, so good. I'm happy with the service and glad to save money.
