Alamosa Mayor Coleman announces re-election bid

ALAMOSA — Mayor Ty Coleman has officially announced his candidacy for re-election, launching his campaign for another term as Mayor of Alamosa.

“It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as mayor,” said Coleman. “As a city, we have made tremendous progress by working together as a team for the greater good of our entire community. But there is still more work to be done. I believe in Alamosa’s potential, and I know that — together — we can continue building a brighter future. That is why I am announcing my campaign for re-election, and I am asking for your support, your volunteer efforts, and your vote.”

During his time in office, Mayor Coleman has been a dedicated and engaged leader, serving as a positive voice for the people and a steadfast advocate for quality attainable housing. Throughout his tenure, he has prioritized listening to residents, strengthening local partnerships, and fostering economic development. His leadership has made a lasting impact across key areas such as business expansion, youth and education programs, rural health care, housing infrastructure, and overall community well-being.

Mayor Coleman currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for Community Resources and Housing Development Corporation (CRHDC), where he helps expand access to quality attainable housing across rural Colorado. His local and statewide service includes board and committee positions with the Early Childhood Council, First Southwest Bank Advisory Board, Colorado Municipal Leage Policy Committee, and The Colorado Trust.
