Democrats nominate full slate for November 4 election

BROOKFIELD - Democratic Town Committee (DTC) Chairman Shannon Riley says she is enthused about 13-candidate slate that will be on the November 4 municipal election ballot.

"We had some great interviews and some inspiring people came forward," she said after the party caucus endorsed the late Wednesday night, July 16, at the party headquarters at 499 Federal Road.

First Selectman Steve Dunn was nominated for a sixth consecutive election cycle. He was a vice president at J.P. Morgan Chase and will be seeking his fifth non-consecutive term as the top elected municipal official.

Bob Belden was nominated for a second term as an Other Selectman. He is a former vice president at IBM who has served as chairman of the Board of Finance and the Board of Education.
