DC area:

We're now in a cold weather regime, which will be lasting a while! This means, when storm systems come through, we'll have to be on watch for wintry precip.
We have two systems coming through in the next five days... on Sunday and Tuesday, and both have a small chance to produce a little snow or sleet, before a probable change to rain, especially in colder areas north and west of the Beltway.
The Tuesday storm is the bigger of the two but the pattern isn't quite right for a snowstorm (see our post from Thursday night). There is a chance of some of our colder areas see a brief period of snow and/or sleet before a flip to a cold, miserable rain.
