Here's how much rain fell from Ophelia in the DC area:

2.40" at Reagan National
2.03" at Dulles
1.51" at BWI Marshall
Generally 1.5-3"

Last spring, when we were in south Florida, a 24-hour rainstorm dumped 25” on Ft. Lauderdale. It was a year’s worth of rain in one day! The airport was closed as were many roads and highways.

We were on a boat so it didn’t matter for us but the poor folks ashore were soaked!
