jumping in but want a house atmosphere. Some are transplants planning to rent for a short period while they get the lay of land. Plenty of other reasons.

Point is, these homes are being used to house people, probably some good Democrats too.

I’d have a problem if investors were holding houses off market, but they aren’t. Similarly, if they were conspiring to set rents I’d oppose them. But don’t think they have market power to do that. Though I’m sure some will try.

Finally, 38K is minuscule in Atlanta area.

A potential homeowner looking to buy a home with a mortgage, doesn't stand a chance against a corporation offering a cash-buy. We need to tax corporate-owned homes HEAVILY, to encourage them to put those homes back on the market.
