Election Commission to Open in New Location Monday, August 4

After months of planning the DeKalb County Election Commission is moving from the first floor of the courthouse to the county complex this week

According to Administrator of Elections Dustin Estes, files, equipment, and supplies will be will be taken from the current office to the new headquarters starting Wednesday followed by the relocation of the phone lines and internet server on Thursday and Friday.

The new election commission office will be open for business Monday, August 4 at 732 South Congress Boulevard in Room 105. Signage will be posted at the new location once the move is complete

In January the county commission adopted a budget amendment in the amount of $110,000 from the fund balance of capital projects and a bid was recently awarded to PRS Construction of Cotton town to make the renovation at $98,600
