"...Amelia Gray is an 8-year-old female polar bear, and she will be arriving at Brookfield Zoo after spending the first part of her life at the Oregon Zoo, according to officials.
As she gets acclimated to her new surroundings in the Great Bear Wilderness at the zoo, she will eventually be introduced to her new roommates, with Hope and Hudson already living at the zoo, officials said.
We look forward to welcoming Amelia Gray to Brookfield Zoo Chicago, as her arrival is a powerful opportunity to educate the community of the critical need to protect this vulnerable species, said Mark Wanner, associate vice president of animal care and conservation at Brookfield Zoo Chicago.
