I think people will need it. They're all using it in lieu of an identity. It's going to leave a big empty space. Scrivener7 Yesterday #4

These types are very proficient at falling for the 'next big thing' and once this collapses, they will just fall into the next rabbit hole.

They are also pretty good at saying whatever they need to in order to survive the collapse of their cults while they pivot.

So, their contriteness will always be suspect.

Education is the key. (Not the current model.) Once it becomes 'cool' to have functioning brain cells again, we can be assured of this kind of thing being relegated to the farthest reaches of society, if it manages to hang on at all.

I mean, we will always have the Dunning Kruger Kids with us, but removing any ability they have to establish a popular narrative by creating sympathy/empathy through ignorance will be pretty effective in keeping them 'tame'.

Assuming we decide to do anything about what got us here. Still wondering about that, to be honest.

Well, technically I knew them. Past tense. They are deliberately no longer in my life.

MAGA is definitely a cult for them.
