Sedgwick County DA finds no criminal intent in election mailer errors

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office announced on Wednesday that it has closed its investigation into an inaccurate mailer sent to hundreds of voters.

“There is no evidence of the criminal intent necessary to support criminal charges in this matter,” the district attorney’s office said in a news release. Instead, it said the inaccuracies were a result of human error.

The mailer was sent out by Wichita Forward ahead of the March 3 sales tax special election.
