Platner will be the nominee. Supporting another candidate against the Democratic nominee is forbidden on DU (with the sole exception of the NE race this year)

As opposed to Weak Tea Collins, who has played an outsized role in the enshitifcation of the U.S. with her bullshit concerns.

with family tradition and deep pockets. I can't see a Maine write-in campaign at this point doing anything but reelecting the long standing incumbent (Collins) with deep pockets.

Too late, Maine Dems have to go with Platner, and we all have to hope for the best.

I will vote for the candidate whom I feel would best represent me and the issues that matter to me regardless of what others want me to do.

It is still my choice and in the primary, I will vote for the candidate I think is best even if I have to write in their name. She could still appear on the ballot, early voting starts on the 10th of May.

I just can't get behind a nazi tattooed, gun loving closet misogynist sounding tough guy. Had enough of that shit and I am not convinced he can beat collins. Polls are bullshit, going with my intuition and what I see on real life.

The shit he says and has done does that for him.

He has not convinced me to vote for him and I will vote as I choose and say what I think about him. You might be surprised when the votes are counted. I don't think I'm the lone ranger on this.

Have a nice day.

Purists often help produce results that are even less palatable than the election of candidates from their own party that they find offensive.

You don’t get representation without a majority. You get sternly worded letters that mean fuck all.

Platner was willing to lay down his life in defense of the country; Collins is a weak tea who is concerned with a furrowed brow.
