Troy Jackson's response to Maine Wire freaking out about the rainbow Pride Crosswalk in Bangor
And he speaks about Charlie Howard being murdered right nearby, in 1984
(It's one of those Youtube Shorts, which format I'm not crazy about. I'll type out what he said.)

Hey everyone, it's Troy Jackson. I'm in downtown Bangor, and I understand that The Maine Wire is freaking out about the Pride Crosswalk, which is an absolute joke. I mean look, I'm right here. Look, I got my foot on it. Nothing hurts. Nothing happened. I'm not turning gay.
But you know, the biggest thing about this is, I'm sure this is a remembrance for Charlie Howard, who was actually murdered back down there on the State Street Bridge in 1984, by three people that, you know, a hate crime. We're all the same. It doesn't matter about our sexuality. We all need to coexist in this country and in this state. And doing things like being upset about paint on a sidewalk, or paint on a road, is an absolute joke, and that's just dividing people for no damn good reason.
So Maine Wire, look, it ain't hurting. Come on down. It won't do anything to you.
