Please check out Michigan State Representative Mai Xiong- my adopted candidate this cycle.
I’ve been following a Michigan State representative named Mai Xiong for quite a while now. She’s an Hmong refugee who has moved up from community offices in Warren to winning her State Rep election. She’s an active and outspoken woman with a compelling story. Mai Xiong has become a lightning rod for Michigan’s Republican speaker, and now Betsy DeVos has thrown her millions in against her. She’s been the target of vicious attacks.
And the home-made videos Mai posts are a hoot!
Mai is my adopted candidate for this election cycle. I’ve just signed up for a $50 a month donation (my first ever) and I’m working to publicize her here. I see her as Michigan’s AOC. Check out her video that lays out what they’re doing to silence her.
