Lambert trial in Michigan tabulator case rescheduled for 2026, defense asks for stay on proceedings
An Oakland County Circuit Court Judge has set a new trial date for attorney Stefanie Lambert Junttila, one of three individuals indicted in connection to a scheme to access voting tabulators following the 2020 election.
While Lambert was previously set to head to trial on Nov. 3, the trial was adjourned in order to hear arguments on several matters tied to jury instructions.
After making his ruling, Judge Jeffery S. Matis set a new trial date for March 2, 2026, again noting that this is the oldest case on his docket.
Lambert Junttila was indicted in 2023 alongside attorney and 2022 Republican attorney general nominee Matt DePerno and state Rep. Daire Rendon (R-Lake City) following an investigation from Muskegon County Prosecutor D.J. Hilson, who was appointed as a special prosecutor on the case.
