When you ask …”Is that a tick or a hemorrhoid?”

They are bad in N.J. too, this year. There are a couple of brans of repellent with Picardin in them, available on Amaz. 3Hotdogs 3 hrs ago #2
I used to love hiking trails and woodlands. The ticks have put a stop to that. Midnight Writer 3 hrs ago #3

I volunteer in a swamp in summer. I started using this and I don't even have to use my mosquito jacket.... not one mosquito when in the swamp or tick when hiking.

The last few times I have gone hiking I have found multiple ticks on me.

I'm too old to fight off a tick-carrying disease. Now I walk in town. It just ain't the same.

... the first tick of the season off me today! My wife's a tick magnet; I gotta pull one off her every other day, seems like.
A Q-tip soaked in alcohol and swirl the tick around until it lets go. Deer ticks are harder because they're so small, but it usually works.
