SPOTLIGHT RACE: Mark Munger for MN-HD03B

Mark is a lifelong resident of NE Minnesota he is an honors graduate of Duluth Denfeld High School, the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and the William Mitchell College of Law. Mark is a former Judge and Proctor City Attorney, a member of the Denfeld Hall of Fame, and a forty-year resident of Fredenberg Township. In addition, he is an Eagle Scout and honorably discharged from the United States Army Reserve.

Mark serves in his community in a variety of ways. Currently, he is the Co-Executive Director of Grace Lutheran (ELCA) in Hermantown, a board member of the Greater Denfeld Foundation, and on the Voyageur’s BSA Advancement Committee. Former civic duties include volunteering as a youth coach for twenty-five years, as an officer of the Fredenberg Community Club, board member of the Hermantown Community Foundation, Confirmation guide/instructor, and Assistant Scoutmaster.

He is the owner of Cloquet River Press and the author of fourteen published books. Mark is also a proud father of four (grandfather of six) and is married to his beautiful wife, Rene’ Privette Munger.

Mark entered the race for one reason: his grandchildren. He wants to ensure a world where they can be safe, be free to pursue a quality public education, breathe clean air and drink clean water, earn a decent wage, receive affordable health care, and practice empathy and compassion with civility.
